Heute reisen wir weit in den Norden von Schottland nach Inverness. Nördlich des Loch Ness liegt die Stadt, im Übrigen auch die nördlichste „City“ im Vereinigten Königreich. Einige Kilometer östlich von Inverness liegt das Schlachtfeld von Culloden, wo die Jakobiten 1746 von den britischen Soldaten vernichtend geschlagen wurden.
